Field Road
What moved me most was the sense of a path without urgency. The faint road through the grass feels less like a destination than an invitation: a place where the eye can wander and the mind can drift. I wanted the painting to hold that feeling of solitude that is not lonely, but restorative—the kind of solitude in which the landscape seems to speak in a softer language. The pale golds, muted greens, and cool blue light all seemed to carry that mood of stillness and inwardness.
